Crain Industries

Crain Industries is currently not a company. You would think with an Entrepreneurship Major I would simply make it one, but it’s more a battle of time and desire, than one of knowledge. For the time being, this is simply the virtual playground of Jon Crain.

Work

I’m currently employed at Central Michigan University working at a little record label called White Pine Music. It keeps me busy and out of trouble during the day and allows me to learn and practice fun things like album design, sales, marketing, database design, photography, mixing/editing music, and really anything and everything that goes along with that.

Play

If I’m not at work, you’ll most likely find me at church, at the climbing wall, or doing random assortments of sports. At church I serve on the production team running sound for all sorts of things, playing in the band, and doing some IT work when things get bogged down. At the climbing wall I’m a wanna be climber who has climbed for nearly two years and is only hovering just below 5.11’s. It is enjoyable nonetheless, and at some point I would like to try some big wall or alpine pursuits. For sports I coach soccer, and enjoy the competition of basketball, ultimate, as well as the serenity of disc golf. If I’m not doing the above things, there’s a good chance I’m hanging out with my girlfriend fiancé, Megan Vander Kooy
